WIND ORDINANCE
The Planning Commission at its February 2021 meeting added Wind Zones (approved by Board on Feb 16, 2021) to the Wind Ordinance (Feb version).

At the April 15 Planning Commission meeting they made a recommendation to the Wind Ordinance. The April recommendation IS NOT included in the above version.
The recommendations will be presented at the Public Hearing on June 3, 2021 at 7 pm at the Township Hall. If a large group attends, the meeting may be held outdoors for safety. After the Planning Commission Public Hearing the Ordinance will go before the Board for approval before adoption and publish.
If you have questions, please contact Orvin Moore at 616-302-5000 or stop by on a Tuesday at the Township office and talk to the Zoning staff.

The Pierson Township Hall is taking reservations. The Township Hall has been through a make-over during the year of COVID shutdowns. Check out the photos of the new hall.
The Township will be installing a storage barn for the table & chair carts to give more room to the hall.

The calendar below is updated frequently to check for availability. To confirm a date and get on the schedule email clerk@piersontwp.org.

Serving (not selling) alcohol at a hall rental event requires an insurance endorsement from the renters insurance company that runs $20-$30. See application or call for details.

The maze created or the Fall Festival last year will become a mulched walking trail in the adjacent land slated for future cemetery growth. Click here for the aerial shot from last year. Some modifications will be made this year - watch for more!
