2025 tax payment options:  â€‹
  • In-person at the Township office
  • Drop-box at the front of the Township building
  • Mail (Please allow at least two weeks prior to the due date to allow for postal delays.) Postmark and check dates are not excepted; payments applied with date received.
  • Credit Card payments (2.5% processing fee, $1.50 min.)
  • e-check payments ($1.50 processing fee, up to $10K)
  • Independent Bank (Sand Lake & Howard City) - Please bring the entire tax bill, and make checks payable to Pierson Township.​​​

  • Collects real and personal property taxes
  • Collects delinquent personal property taxes
  • Collects mobile home specific taxes

  • Keeps an account of Township receipts and expenditures
  • Process Township checks
  • Deposits Township revenues in approved depositories
  • Invests Township funds in approved investment vehicles
  • Responsible for jeopardy assessments in collecting property tax
  • Must appoint a deputy
  • Must post a surety bond
